Prof. Syed Shariq

Founding Co-Chair, Kozmetsky Global Collaboratory, Stanford University

Syed Shariq Is the Kozmetsky Senior Research Scholar and the founding co-chair of Kozmetsky Global Collaboratory at Stanford University. He has also served as a faculty member and scholar at several top-ranked US universities, including Duke and Johns Hopkins. Shariq was the founder of NASA’s Silicon Valley incubator and was responsible for leading NASA’s post-cold war agenda for the commercialization of NASA technology. At NASA’s Ames Research Center, he also served as chief of Intelligent Systems Technology. Prof. Shariq’s interests are in creating shareable prosperity through a shared context for effective professional practices. He has a BE (Hons.) in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering, an MS in Applied & Mathematical Statistics, and a Ph.D. in Operations Research.
